The new IBM Support Portal is a unified, centralized view of all technical support tools and information for all IBM systems, software, and services. You can tailor the Support Portal to suit your needs, focusing on the products you care about and organizing the pages to reflect the way you work. The portal makes it fast and easy to find the exact information or tool you need to prevent and resolve problems. Users help shape each release with their feedback.
The New Top Ten portlet gives users the ten Most recent or Most accessed documents for each of their products on the Overview, Troubleshooting, Planning Installation, and Usage pages.
Users can bookmark technotes using the IBM bookmarking service and see the list of their public bookmarks from the Support Portal pages. Each user can keep a list of the documents they value or are currently using, and have quick access regardless of which system or browser they are working from.
Managing your product list got easier by having an edit link for each product on each page, allowing users to select multiple versions and operating systems at one time, the addition of more product synonyms for improved product look-up, and the inclusion of additional STG products and operating systems in the list. Users can also share product lists with their peers by clicking the Share this product list link and sending or bookmarking the resulting URL.
The My contracts portlet gives signed in users a view of their support contracts and highlights any that are expiring.
Further enhancements to the Service Request portlet makes it easier for signed in users to find the PMRs they want to work with.
The top right area of the masthead was simplified so that it is easier to tell whether or not you are signed in.
